Office of Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs at the TU Darmstadt handles enrolments and admissions, withdrawal from the university and leave of absence, re-registration and fees for all departments. That makes it your main contact for all formal and regulatory questions about your studies. The website of the Student Service provides information about studying at the TU Darmstadt. The staff of the Office of Academic Affairs will gladly provide information on the application process. For information about applying for university entrance with foreign qualifications, please refer to TU Darmstadt International (see below).
The Student Service is located at karo5 at the Innenstadt Campus (Building S1|01).
Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek (ULB) – University and State Library
The University and State Library (ULB) is located in the castle in the city centre and is open daily from 8:00 am to 2:00 am (Sundays too). Students and staff have access to over 1.7 million print editions of books and magazines, over 195,000 items in audio and visual media, and over 121,000 items in digital media. For more information, please refer to the ULB website.
The ULB also offers a useful introduction for information research in Mechanical Engineering. Here you will find textbooks, eBooks, catalogues, databases, new material, contact persons, news, training sessions and more.
