Course of Studies
Under the programme, students from the TU Darmstadt spend the first three semesters of their Master's degree at the USP in Brazil, where they take courses totalling 90 credits. The students write their Master's thesis in their fourth semester back in Germany, whereby the thesis is jointly supervised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the TU Darmstadt and the Escola Politécnica at the USP.
Students from Darmstadt have the opportunity to extend their stay abroad by a further semester if they have not earned all 90 credits within three semesters. The same applies to Brazilian students. They transfer to the TU Darmstadt after their seventh semester and complete the regular Master's programme in Mechanical and Process Engineering.
