Course of Studies
The French and German students each spend a total of one years at the respective partner university.
In the first two semesters, the students complete an Advanced Research Project (ADP) at their home university.
After the second semester, the German students transfer to EC Lyon and attend the courses in the third to fourth semesters in France, where they also write their Master's thesis.
After successfully completing their Master's thesis, students receive a Master's degree from TU Darmstadt and a diploma from the EC Lyon partner university.
Application Requirements
The application for the double degree is made in the fifth semester of the Bachelor's programme. In exceptional cases, the application can also be made in the first semester of the Master's programme.
Applicants should fulfil the following requirements:
- very good academic performance
- Extracurricular commitment and social competence
- Knowledge of the Englisch language, C1 level
- Knowledge of the French language, B1 level
- Interest in French culture and language
- Willingness to prepare a final report on the experience gained at the end of the programme
Funding Opportunities & Finances
The double degree programme is funded by the Franco-German University with a grant, currently amounting to approx. 250 € per month.
