Entwicklung einer Methodik zur numerisch gestützten Bestimmung der Zustellkurven bei Schubbiegeprozessen
Development of a methodology for the numerically supported determination of infeed curves in shear bending processes
Masterthesis, Bachelorthesis
Free-form bent components are frequently encountered in everyday life. Examples include rails and handrails on banisters. But architecture, design and the automotive industry also use these kinds of profiles. There are various bending processes to produce such free-form bent components, including shear bending processes. During bending, a transient radius is created, see figure above left. This area is undesirable because it results in considerable deviations between the target and actual contour.
Within the scope of this thesis, a numerical FE model with a bending radius control is to be set up in order to determine the infeed curve without creating a transient radius range (see figure above right). Finally, a methodology for near-net-shape freeform bending is to be derived from this by determining the infeed curve.
The exact work packages of the task can be discussed in a personal meeting and adapted if necessary.
