At this year's ASME Turbo Expo 2023 in Boston, the UTC Darmstadt was represented by researchers from the institutes STFS and GLR. Here, they presented their latest research results to a broad audience from the fields of turbomachinery and propulsion.

From 26–30 June 2023, more than 2400 experts from industry, science and politics met at the ASME Turbo Expo 2023 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, the most important conference for turbomachinery and propulsion. Over the course of five days, more than 900 presentations showed the latest findings from a wide range of fields. UTC Darmstadt participated with contributions on thermoacoustics (Hanna Reinhardt, STFS, Paper No. GT2023-100865), soot modeling and prediction (Philipp Koob, STFS, Paper No. GT2023-101148), influence of turbulent flow on the aero-thermal behavior of turbine vanes (Jonathan Gründler, GLR, Paper No. GT2023-100884), and aerodynamic interaction between the turbine rotor and stator (Marius Linne, GLR, Paper No. GT2023-101246).

The conference allows international researchers to share their work with an audience of their peers, and gain insight and ideas into the work of others. It also provides a good platform for discussions on current topics such as climate-neutral travel, sustainability, and environmental protection.
