On November 13 and 14, our colleague Jan Hämmelmann and colleagues from the MechCenter at TU Darmstadt – Maschinenbau traveled to Grenoble to discuss the possibility of an ERASMUS Mundus Joint Degree with multiple universities from Unite! – University Network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering. We would like to thank our partners from Grenoble INP – Génie industriel, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Politecnico di Torino and Instituto Superior Técnico for the great discussions.

In addition to these activities, Jan Hämmelmann gave a lecture on Machine Learning (ML) Applications in Manufacturing. Here, the French students had the opportunity to receive an introduction to ML, together with application examples from the PTW.
