The CPS institute is again offering the master's lecture “Introduction to the Finite Element Method” and the tutorial “Machine Learning in Solid Mechanics” in the winter semester 2023/2024. We also recommend the lecture “Applied Structural Optimization” by Prof. Harzheim.
The lecture “Introduction to the Finite Element Method” (6 CP, 3+1 SWS) is aimed at master's students in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computational engineering, mechanics, etc. The course will take place in a blended learning format with learning units in Moodle and interactive lecture parts. The tutorial “Machine Learning in Solid Mechanics” (4 CP) is also aimed at master's students in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computational engineering, mechanics, etc. It is being offered for the second time- after great success and lively participation during last year's instance.
