Slim Krückemeier studied Mechanical and Process Engineering (MPE) at Technsiche Universität Darmstadt until 2019. Additionally, he spent one semester abroad at School of Mechanical Engineering of Tongji University in Shanghai. During his master’s thesis he developed an optimization tool for the build orientation in additive manufacturing. This considers the influence of the part orientation on various process and part characteristics and suggests an optimal build orientation for the part.

Since July 2019, he is working as a research assistant at the Department of Computer Integrated Design (DiK) at the Technical University of Darmstadt.

Starting in the winter semester 2019/20, Mr. Krückemeier will supervise the lecture “Virtual Product Development A” in the Master's program. This course covers the basics of modern product data technology as well as important CAx process chains.
