Sven Winter studied Mechanical and Process Engineering (MPE) at Darmstadt Technical University until August 2019, graduating with a Master of Science degree. During his Master's thesis he developed an evaluation method for optical, integrated sensors in load-bearing structures at the Institute of Production Engineering and Forming Machines.
Mr. Winter works at the Information Processing in Mechanical Engineering Training Center (IiM) in the area of 3D-CAD training for students of the Mechanical and Process Engineering (MPE) bachelor's program. In the summer semester of 2020 and 2021 he will supervise the lecture on computer-aided design. The lecture focuses on 3D-CAD techniques (Siemens PLM Software NX 1872), basics in product management (Teamcenter 11) as well as procedures for the creation of hand sketches and technical product documentation.
The research project “DiNaPro – Model-based digitalization of sustainable production networks along the product life cycle” is a project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The goal is to optimize environmental sustainability in the product creation process by means of a uniform data model and data exchange format in the form of an integral digital twin technology. Over a period of three years, assistance systems will be developed to improve the quality of decision-making in various use cases. A particular focus will be on increasing environmental and social sustainability.
The research consortium is led by DiK and includes the Institute for Produktionsmanagement, Technologie und Werkzeugmaschinen (PTW), the development partners in-integrierte informationssysteme GmbH, etalytics GmbH and DSC Software AG as well as the application partners Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, Munsch Chemie-Pumpen GmbH and Opel Automobile GmbH.
