Optimierung des Tiefziehens von Papier durch lokal angepasste Prozessführung

Optimisation of paper deep drawing through locally adapted process control

Masterthesis

Paper-based packaging, such as that which can be produced by deep drawing, enables a reduction in the use of plastic-based packaging. Adapting the process widely used in metal forming to paper poses challenges due to the low flow behaviour and pronounced anisotropy. Initial preliminary tests have shown that the use of a segmented blankholder offers great potential for influencing the process. The aim of the work is to develop an optimised control system for the existing segmented blank holder concept.

For this purpose, the following work packages are to be processed, which can best be discussed and, if necessary, adapted in a personal meeting:

  • Numerically supported identification of promising force curves for a segmented blank holder
  • If necessary, constructive revision of the existing blank holder
  • Experimental validation of the numerically determined process control
  • Evaluation of the process improvement achieved by the segmented blankholder
