Development of a Method for the Systematic Identification of Use Cases for ADS

Bachelorthesis

At the Institute of Automotive Engineering (FZD) at TU Darmstadt, we are developing fundamental modeling strategies for automated driving systems (ADS) as part of the DFG research project MiRoVA. To identify future development paths, the systematic collection of relevant use cases is essential.

  • Literature review on the concept of use cases, system properties of ADS, and classification approaches regarding function, ODD, and HMI
  • Analysis of existing use case catalogs and classification schemes for ADS
  • Development of a methodology for the systematic identification and classification of ADS use cases
  • Identification and classification of relevant ADS use cases
  • Evaluation of the developed methodology and discussion of the results
