- Basics of continuum mechanical modeling, simple field problems (Heat conduction, solid and fluid mechanics)
- Finite difference methods, finite volume methods, discretization of convective and diffusive flows, Galerkin methods, finite element methods, simple elements and shape functions
- Time discretization, explicit and implicit methods
- Properties of numerical solution methods, stability, consistency, convergence, conservativity, error estimation
