New publication on material modeling of anisotropic metamaterials with artificial neural networks

2020/12/10

We are happy to share that the article “Anisotropic hyperelastic constitutive models for finite deformations combining material theory and data-driven approaches with application to cubic lattice metamaterials” was just published in the journal Computational Mechanics. The contribution was prepared by our Postdoc Mauricio Fernández in collaboration with Prof. Kersting from the computer science department and Prof. Böhlke from KIT. It combines theory-based approaches from continuum mechanics with the application of machine learning methods. The manuscript can be accessed at DOI 10.1007/s00466-020-01954-7 (OpenAccess).
