Parametric visco-hyperelastic material models for 3D printed polymers


Congratulations to Iman Valizadeh for the publication of his latest article in the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences!

In the manuscript written by Mr. Valizadeh and Prof. Weeger, rate-dependent material models are formulated and experimentally characterized, which can be used to describe the behavior of grayscale MSLA 3D-printed polymers. An essential contribution of the work is the parameterization of the material model depending on the process parameters grayscale value and exposure time, which are unified in the “grayscale exposure”. Consequently, graded structures with variable material properties can be modeled and manufactured.
