Erstes AI2SB-Status-Meeting am Fachgebiet PLCM in Darmstadt

2025/09/10

The first in-person status meeting of the German-Brazilian research project AI2SB took place at the PLCM department of Darmstadt Technical University.

Together with Prof. Dr. Eduardo Zancul from the University of São Paulo (USP) and dedicated students who are involved in the project through bachelor's and master's theses, advanced design projects, and as student assistants—including several Brazilian double-degree students at TUDa—we were able to gain exciting insights into the results achieved so far and plan the next steps.

The AI2SB project is funded by the DFG and CAPES and is part of the Brazilian-German Collaborative Research Initiative on Smart Connected Manufacturing (BRAGECRIM/CRI-SCMfg). Over the next two years, we will be researching how AI, digital twins, additive manufacturing, and intelligent assembly can make small-batch production more flexible and efficient.
