Dr.-Ing. André Picard

Contact

André Picard graduated from Technische Universität Darmstadt in 2010. With the completion of his studies as Diplom-Ingenieur, he joined in October 2010 his position as Research Assistant at the Department of Computer Integrated Design (DiK) at Technische Universität Darmstadt.

Mr. Picard has left our department in 2015 after his successful completion of his doctoral degree.

From 2010 to 2013 Mr. Picard worked at the departments training center “Informationsverarbeitung im Maschinenbau” (IiM) and supported the teaching of the course “Grundlagen der elektronischen Datenverarbeitung” and “Programmiersprachen und -techniken” as part of the Bachelor of Mechanical and Process Engineering.

Parallel from 2011 till 2013 he was responsible for the tutorial “PDM with Windchill” offered to students of e.g. the Master Mechanical and Process Engineering or the Master Computational Engineering.

Since 2012 Mr. Picard teached students in different cooperative projects (Advanced Design Projects and research seminars).

Topics: GeDV / ICT, Progamming, Windchill, Smart Engineering, Cyber-Physical Systems, Industrie 4.0

Since midth of 2012 Mr. Picard was part of the research field “Digital Factory” at the DiK. Till the project completion in December 2013 he was member of the DFG promoted project BRAGECRIM “Federative Factory Data Management”.

In particular he was engaged in the linking of different factory data and the integration of mobile internet devices into the federative factory data management.

Since 2014 and till the project completion in June 2014 Mr. Picard was additionally engaged in the LOEWE research project “AdRIA” (Adaptronic – Research, Innovation, Application). His research covered methods for virtual development of adaptronic and cyber-physical systems.

Mr. Picard's research especially covered components as information carriers in the context of the German research initiative “Industrie 4.0”. He investigates integrated information structures in virtual product development.

Topics: Components as information carriers, Industrie 4.0, Industrial Internet, Federative Factory Data Management, Information Processing and Process Modelling for the virtual product creation, Cyber-Physical Systems, Internet of Things, Mobile Internet Devices
