The innovative manufacturing process known as slit profiling enables the resource-efficient and highly flexible production of branched profiles from flat sheets. Targeted slit guidance and forming create complex cross-sections without the need for additional joining technologies. The resulting profiles are characterised by high dimensional accuracy, good material utilisation and functional integration.
The innovative roller bearings based on this technology differ significantly from conventional solutions: they offer significant advantages in terms of the manufacturing process, reduce material usage, enable the integration of additional functions and thus contribute to increased efficiency in the end application.
Within the framework of this ADP, rolling bearing systems are to be rethought and developed on the basis of slit profiling. Established product development methods will be used for this purpose. In addition, economic aspects such as manufacturing costs, resource efficiency and market potential will be taken into account to ensure a holistic evaluation of the developed concepts
