The first “4D Materials Design and Manufacturing” (4DMDA 2022) conference was held online on September 1-2, 2022. The conference was organized by the 4D Printing Society and featured about 40 talks by international established scientists and junior researchers on various aspects of additive manufacturing and 4D printing of smart materials ans structures.

After the conference, our research associate Iman Valizadeh was decorated with one of four “Best Research Presentation Awards” for his excellent talk on “Parametric visco-hyperelastic constitutive modeling of functionally graded 3D printed polymers”. The talk summarized the work of his recently published article in the journal Additive Manufacturing:
