Honored to be elected Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society
I’m deeply honored to have been elected a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. This recognition means a lot to me, especially in light of our long-standing research efforts at the interface of fundamental science and practical application.
In our strategic partnership with through the University Technology Centre for Combustor–Turbine Interaction ( Rolls-Royce) at Technische Universität Darmstadt, we investigate key thermofluidic phenomena that are central to modern propulsion systems. https://lnkd.in/ezRMAgVh
As an engineer, I aim to deepen our understanding of these processes through rigorous, fundamental research—guided by systematic, model-based, data- and theory-driven approaches and grounded in real-world relevance.
In areas such as hydrogen combustion, spray and mixing dynamics, soot formation, and thermoacoustic instabilities, I believe it is crucial to advance basic scientific understanding while remaining connected to the engineering challenges of tomorrow.
Many thanks to the collaborators who supported this research over the last years. Ruud Eggels, Dr. Carsten Clemen, Thomas Dörr, Roland Wilhelm, Max Staufer, Marcelo J.S. de Lemos and many others
