- Pollutants (formation and impact)
- Physical basics (thermodynamics and conservation equations)
- Chemical principles (chemical equilibrium and reaction kinetics)
- Current research topic: Hydrogen and metals
- Flame types (nonpremixed, premixed and partially premixed flames)
- Turbulence (basics and models)
- Application of Python to determine combustion properties and to analyze and simulate convection and diffusion processes and non-premixed/premixed flames.
