  • Fuels (examples and characteristics)
  • Pollutants (formation and impact)
  • Physical basics (thermodynamics and conservation equations)
  • Chemical principles (chemical equilibrium and reaction kinetics)
  • Current research topic: Hydrogen and metals
  • Flame types (nonpremixed, premixed and partially premixed flames)
  • Turbulence (basics and models)
  • Application of Python to determine combustion properties and to analyze and simulate convection and diffusion processes and non-premixed/premixed flames.
