  • Modeling and simulation of solid fuel conversion / metal fuels
  • Numerically-assisted interpretation of experimental data / computed signals
  • Computationally efficient numerical methods for the simulation of reactive flows

  • PI in the priority programme (SPP) 2419 HyCAM Project: “Mesoscale burner array for hydrogen-rich fuels” (joint project with Prof. S. Will and Prof. M. Schmidt from the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg) funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG)
  • PI in the Collaborative Research Centre/Transregio 150 (joint project with Dr. F. Ferraro, Athene Young Investigator) Subproject: "Numerical Investigation of boundary layer flames under the influence of flame retardants" funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG)
  • PI in the research center Clean Circles Subproject: "Modeling of the reaction-transport coupling for single, iron-based microparticles undergoing thermo-chemical reduction or oxidation" funded by the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts
  • PI for the project „Green Hydrogen Blends“ funded by the FAUDI foundation
  • PI for the project „Pilot study to assess the environmental performance of iron as energy carrier from a life cycle perspective“ (joint project with Dr. V. Zeller, Athene Young Investigator) funded by the seed fund of the profile topic Carbon Neutral Circles in the research area E+E at TU Darmstadt
