Your opportunities in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the TU Darmstadt

The degree programme ”Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering)” explores classical mechanical engineering and the numerous facets that this subject area offers. Here you can choose to study a very broad range of subjects or deepen your knowledge in a specialist area, such as Clean Energy Engineering, Sustainable Use and Reuse of Resources, Future Automotive + Aerospace Systems, Digital Based Production and Robotics, or Bio Medical Engineering. You can find more information and videos on our main areas of study and research here.

The specialisation Aerospace Engineering is offered as an independent Master's programme that is taught in English.

We also offer the specialised degree programme “Paper Science and Technology”, which provides students with scientific and engineering fundamentals in the field of paper production.

Mechanical engineering also is part of various interdisciplinary degree programmes.

If you have obtained a bachelor's degree other than our Mechanical Engineering B.Sc. and have decided to pursue a master's degree at our university, we offer you special support at the beginning of your studies with our master’s orientation day.
