The Airbus Group is currently planning the provisioning of a neutral archiving solution for product data in the context of a group-wide PLM environment harmonization effort. Therefore the already existing archiving solutions within the different business units shall be assessed and compared to determine a candidate system for group-wide provisioning.
The department of Computer Integrated Design is tasked with the compilation of the applicable requirements for digital archives in general and the archiving of digital product data in particular. Based on these requirements the department of Computer Integrated Design shall derive an assessment model and conduct the assessment of the archiving solutions.
