ProSTEP iViP project group SimPDM has the goal to develop a common solution for an integration of simulation and calculation in a PDM-environment with users, system providers and research institutions from the fields product data management and simulation/calculation. In order to achieve this goal, following tasks were defined:
- Determination of the CAE-domains and the software tools inside the domains
- Definition of requirements/influences on CAE-modelling structure
- Definition of the necessary elements and attributes of the CAE-modelling structure
- Creation of partial modells für the defined domains
- Creation of a concept for an integration of the calculation domains
- Creation of a meta data modell
- Creation of a requirement specification for the integration
- Creation of a demonstrator
