General information

TRUST research partners of the DiK are the Institute of Sociology (TUD), Fraunhofer-Institute for Industrial Enginee¬ring IAO, Institut für sozialwissenschaftliche Forschung e.V. (ISF München). The research group works together in close collaboration with the industrial partners Marquardt GmbH and :em engineering methods AG. This project aimed to dedicate the constitution and organization of a project in cooperation, the influencing regulation of such project organization concerning technology and instruction and its outcomes and the shape as well as extent of trust.

The Role of DiK in TRUST

The role of the Department of Computer Integrated Design was to analyze TRUST from a technical point of view. In times of globalization the security of intellectual property plays an important role. Techniques to secure data exist, for instance data encryption and enterprise rights management to avoid data misuse. However the user is often unsure which data could be exchanged and a methodological support has not been established yet. He is in between the field of tension to trust or mistrust. However the research group assumed that trust can sometimes be the success factor for projects in cooperation. Therefore an assistance system was developed, supporting users in using the right application to secure data in cooperation in dependence of trust.

The final presentation took place in June 2012. Furthermore final reports will be published.
