The project „Automation of the process chain for customized additive manufacturing” was recommended and launched within the frame of assistance measures of LOEWE 3. With the partner companies Kegelmann Technik GmbH (Rodgau, Jügesheim) and :em engineering methods AG (Darmstadt) an digital automatized and consistent process chain for customized additive manufacturing will be established. The customer will experience a decrease of expanses for acquisition of additive manufactured parts and significant decrease of time for order processing due to AutoAdd.
Hereby the possibility to get customized parts is immensely simplified (for the customer). The enormous market potential of additive manufacturing and the increasing demand for customized products extend to all known industries. From aircraft construction, over automotive industry, machinery and plant engineering to home user market everyone will benefit from this new process chain and order processing.
Besides project management DiK will especially take care of methodical procedure and development of solutions for information technology as well as definition and analysis of interfaces. The methodical mentoring and support will take place during the entire project duration (01.07.2016 bis 30.06.2018) and in all work packages. Furthermore has DiK the primary responsibility for the entire concept development.
