A total of eight partners from science and practice are combining their know-how on digitisation and networking in the competence centre. In addition to the department of computer integrated design, other institutes of the TU Darmstadt, the Fraunhofer LBF/SIT as well as the IHK Darmstadt and the Handwerkskammer Frankfurt-Rhein-Main are involved as partners.
With free, practice-oriented offers the entire spectrum is covered from the entrance into the industry 4,0 topic world up to the conversion of concrete solutions. The focus is on five subject areas: “IT security”, “Work 4.0”, “New business models”, “Energy efficiency” and “Efficient value-added processes”.
The Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center Darmstadt is part of the funding initiative “Mittelstand 4.0 – Digital Production and Work Processes”, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) as part of the funding priority “Mittelstand Digital – Strategies for the Digital Transformation of Business Processes”.
